Overview:
Free Hands explores how Natural User Interfaces can improve communication and safety while commuting by using gesture recognition as the primary interaction method. I designed a system in which a dash-mounted camera interprets driver hand motions and sends visual feedback to an LED display, supported by a mobile setup app that establishes gestures, connectivity, and user settings. Through this process I developed the full interaction flow, visual identity, prototype screens, and NUI logic to demonstrate how gesture-based design can create a more intuitive and accessible driving experience.
